The Central New York Football Academy was created in 2009 by Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame Member, Mike Hart. The former NFL running back who spent his college years at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, wanted to create something that would inspire and help the lives of the less fortunate kids in his hometown.  After reaching out to long time friend and coach, Michael Poirier, the two set out to make the idea a reality.

Today, as the camp director and member of the Mike Hart Family Foundation, Michael Poirier handles the day to day operations for the camp. In his first year back in Syracuse as the running back coach for Syracuse University, Mike Hart looks forward to that last weekend in June where he spends the weekend filled with community development.  From the Fuel Up To Play 60 NFL event, to the Golisano Children's Hospital visit.  Mike and his friends spend the entire weekend making sure the youth of the area have opportunities some of them didn't.

The camp, which is entirely free for the kids, is funded primarily through sponsorships and donation. Help us make a difference and make a donation today.
